Artists Diane Burko and Richard Ryan, just back from an art-and-science exploration of the Arctic, invite you for an evening of drinks and light fare to explore their spectacular home and studio.

Visit the home of Diane Burko and Richard Ryan, in a Center City stable built in 1905 that they gutted and designed themselves. Fresh from an invitation-only trip to the Arctic, traveling with artists, scientists and journalists studying global warming--Diane and Richard will have returned just two weeks earlier--the couple will be there to answer your questions about their expedition and Diane’s lifetime exploration of some of earth’s most dramatic and endangered landscapes. The home’s contemporary interior and studio spaces showcase some of Richard’s extraordinary skills as a  designer, digital artist and cabinetmaker. The spare spaces are the perfect setting for their own art work as well as for work in their private collection. Some of Diane’s paintings and photographs are currently on the road-- in a  solo show: "Glacial Perspectives", is at the Zimmerli Museum, Rutgers University, New Brunswick; and the "Sensing Change" exhibit at the Chemical Heritage Foundation in Philadelphia includes a group of her photographs.
