ABOUT ABOUT

Hidden City and Artblog team up to bring you a new Art + History tour. This time, we'll be exploring Fabric Row with architect, neighborhood historian and all-around Philly character Joel Spivak. We'll walk The Row (4th Street south of South), meet some of the merchants, learn a little local history, then stop for refreshments at Hungry Pigeon.

From there, with the folks from Artblog as our guide, we'll take a look at two of the neighborhood's contemporary art spaces: Paradigm Gallery and DaVinci Art Alliance. Roberta will give context to the art you see and talk about what art is today and why art matters.

Meet us at Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, 2 PM, at 700 S. 4th St., in front of Famous 4th St. Delicatessen.  We will walk south from there. Tour takes around 2.5 hours including the pit stop at Hungry Pigeon. Comfortable walking shoes suggested.

(This tour is free, but we ask that you consider making a small donation to the non-profit organizations that produce it. Thanks!)
